This piece was such a joy to create. It all began with a fragment cut from one of my large-scale abstract paintings. The moment I trimmed it away from the canvas, I knew it was meant to become jewelry.
I encased the fragment in clear resin to preserve its movement and color, transforming it into a pendant that felt bold and alive. It deserved a chain with just as much personality, so I paired it with leftover black-and-white chunky elements from a few years ago and hand-painted small rectangular resin pieces to bring everything together.
The entire design came together effortlessly—it truly felt meant to be. I drew inspiration from the whimsical creativity that surrounds me every day as an art teacher, and from the free, relaxed spirit of my little artists who remind me to play, explore, and create without limits.
